Gentlemen,

I am directed by the Duke of Newcastle to transmit to you the copy of a despatch from the Officer Administering the Government of Hong Kong, enclosing a Bill of first exchange, for £1208, 5s. 8d. drawn on Messrs. Sampson in repayment of an advance of five thousand dollars made in time for the purposes of the British East Indian Immigration to Land Bourd by the Government of Hong Kong.
